Ādam was created in the Image of Ar-Rahmān

*And Abu Muhammad Abdullah b. Salih al-bukhari reported to us, who said, Ishaq b. Ibrahim al-marwaziy reported to us who said, Jarir b. Abdul Hameed reported to us from Al-A’mash (who reported) from Habeeb b. Abī Thaabith (who reported) from ‘Atā’ (who reported) from Ibn ‘Umar who said; The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said :

لا تقبحوا الوجه فإن آدم خلق على سورة الرحمن عز وجل
“Do not insult the face (saying it’s ugly), because Adam was created in the Image of Ar-Rahmaan عز وجل”.

Muhammad bnu al-Husayn رحمه الله said;

“This is from the Sunan that which the Muslims are obliged to have Eeman in, and it should not be said “how?” And “why?” Rather it has to be accepted by surrendering and affirming, and by abandoning looking into it, just as those who preceded from the Imams of the Muslimeen said.”*

Souls are Conscripted Soldiers

‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saying:

الأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ
‘Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.’”
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

Al-Imaam Abee Sulaymaan Hamad b. Muhammad Al-Khattaabee said:

“This can be interpreted in two ways: First of the two; that this may refer to their similarity as regards good or evil, righteousness or corruption. Good people are inclined towards other good people, and evil people are similarly inclined towards other evil people. Souls feel affinity with others according to the nature in which they were created, good or evil. If souls’ natures are similar, they will get along, otherwise they will not be on good terms with one another.

The other way; is that is being referred to khabar about the beginning of creation in the realm of the unseen when, it is reported, souls were created before bodies, and used to meet one another and express their pessimism about the future. When souls have entered bodies (come to the physical realm) they may recognize one another from the past, and may be on friendly terms or otherwise based on that past experience, and Allah knows best.”

Doubt in Usūl Al-Dīn is Kufr

Shāykh Abdullāh b. Abdur-Rahmān Abā Butāyn رحمه الله said;

“And surely the Qur’ān gives evidence that Doubt in Usūl Al-Dīn is Kufr.

And doubt (الشك) is swaying between two things, like the one who does not approve the Messenger ﷺ with certainty nor reject him, And (the one who) does not approve the resurrection with certainty nor reject it and the likes of that.

Like the one who does not believe the obligation of the Salāh nor absence of it’s obligation, or does not believe in the prohibition of Zina nor believes the absence of it’s prohibition

– And this is Kufr by the Ijma of the ‘Ulamā, and there is no excuse for anyone who’s condition is like this – just because he does not understand the Hujjah of Allāh & his Bayan, because there is no excuse after reaching it (the Hujjah) even if he does not understand the Hujjah.”

Reality of Shirk

Shāykh Abdullah b. Abdur-Rahmān Abā Butāyn رحمه الله  said;

“So whoever directs anything from the ‘Ibādah (worship) to other than Allāh – This is the Shirk Al-Akbar which Allāh do not forgive. (Allāh) تعالى said;

{إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء}

“Surely Allāh does not forgive that anything should be associated with him, and He forgives what is besides that to whomever He pleases”

So whoever claims Allāh forgives him – he has indeed rejected the Khabar of Allāh سبحانه.”
